Blow Moulding Machine Operator – Plastic Manufacturing

About the role

The Blow Moulding Machine Operator will run extrusion blow‑moulding equipment to produce HDPE bottles and jerry cans in a Dubai‑based plastic manufacturing plant. The role involves operating, monitoring and maintaining the machine to meet quality, productivity and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate EBM/blow moulding machines according to SOPs, start/stop and perform changeovers.
• Monitor and adjust machine parameters such as extruder temperature, die/head temperature, extrusion speed, blow pressure and cooling‑water temperature.
• Ensure correct mould, colour/masterbatch and raw material are used for each product.
• Inspect produced items for weight, dimensions, wall thickness, appearance and defects, segregating any non‑conforming pieces.
• Achieve production targets while minimizing cycle time, material waste and machine downtime.
• Perform routine machine checks, report any leaks, abnormal noises, hydraulic or pneumatic issues and avoid unauthorized modifications.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Plastic Processing, Mechanical or Electrical engineering (preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience operating blow moulding machines, preferably with HDPE or PP extrusion.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and quality inspection tools.
