BMS Draughtsman / BIM Modeler

About the role

Naffco is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BMS Draughtsman to join its team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role plays a key part in designing and delivering high-quality Building Management System projects in the building services sector, producing technical drawings, schematics and documentation to project requirements, industry standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare BMS shop drawings, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams and wiring layouts using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM tools
• Develop HVAC control drawings for AHU, FCU, chiller, ventilation, exhaust and pressurization systems
• Prepare control panel GA drawings, control schematics, cable routing layouts and sensor/device location drawings
• Coordinate with BMS, HVAC, electrical engineers and site teams, and review mechanical, electrical and architectural drawings to avoid clashes
• Update drawings after consultant comments and site conditions, and submit as-built drawings on completion
• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, document control records and submission trackers
• Prepare network topology diagrams, control architecture layouts and communication schematics
• Assist in quantity take-off, material coordination, procurement and technical documentation support
• Verify site installation details, coordinate controllers, sensors, actuators and valves, and help prepare testing and commissioning documentation
• Work with BIM/Revit teams, follow project schedules and keep drawings accurate and consistent

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in BMS drafting and coordination within MEP/BMS projects
• Good understanding of HVAC systems, BMS controls and MEP coordination
• Familiarity with international standards and consultant submission procedures
• Ability to read technical drawings, work under deadlines and handle multiple project submissions

Required skills

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Revit/BIM experience is an added advantage
• Knowledge of BMS systems such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider or Johnson Controls is preferred
