BTEC Hospitality Teacher

About the role

GEMS Metropole School - Al Waha, a British curriculum school in Dubai's Al Waha community, is looking to appoint a BTEC Hospitality Teacher starting in August 2027. The school, opened in 2023, teaches students from FS1 to Year 11 and will open its Sixth Form in August 2027. The role involves inspiring students, developing their vocational knowledge and practical skills, and helping them prepare for careers in the hospitality industry.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hospitality Management, a relevant subject or an equivalent qualification, together with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching BTEC Hospitality or a related vocational qualification at secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of BTEC assessment requirements, including assignment setting, internal assessment, feedback and student progress tracking.
• Relevant industry experience in hospitality, hotel management, food and beverage, events or a related field is advantageous.
• Ability to deliver engaging, practical and industry-focused lessons and to support and challenge students of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to take part in enrichment activities, extracurricular programmes and community engagement.
