BTEC IT Teacher

About the role

The BTEC IT Teacher will deliver the Information Technology curriculum to secondary students at International Schools in Star Al Qusais. The role involves planning lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting learners with diverse academic and socio‑emotional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and email lesson plans to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator, preparing all necessary teaching materials.
• Maintain up‑to‑date grade books, enter grades promptly, and design monthly assessments for each topic.
• Supervise playground duties, decorate the classroom, and record daily attendance.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department and Academic Coordinator to support students with behavioral, special‑needs, or gifted‑learner requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, institutional workshops, and school‑wide activities such as fairs and community service projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably with ICT or Computer Science up to A‑Level.
• Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, organize tasks, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital teaching tools.
• Intermediate‑level Microsoft Office skills.
• Capability to teach ICT and Computer Science concepts.
