Budget Planning & Financial Analysis Analyst (UAE National)

About the role

A confidential government entity in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Budget Planning & Financial Analysis Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting. The role contributes to strategic decision-making through financial insights, budget analysis and performance monitoring within a dynamic government environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget utilization and analyse variances against approved budgets.
• Conduct financial and operational analysis to support business decisions.
• Prepare management reports, presentations and financial dashboards.
• Assist in developing financial models and forecasting scenarios.
• Track expenditure trends and identify opportunities for efficiency and optimization.
• Support periodic financial reporting and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate financial data.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures and financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Preferred: knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
