Bus Nanny & School Cleaner

About the role

The Bus Nanny ensures children are safe and supervised on the school bus, while also keeping the school premises clean. The role is full-time, aligned with school operational hours, and is line managed by the Transport Coordinator and School Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a bus nanny at the start and end of the day, always ensuring the safety of each child
• Manage pupil behaviour positively and report behavioural issues to the Transport Officer
• Maintain records of pick-up and drop-off times and report transport issues to the Transport Coordinator
• Take new student registrations for the transport service and plan emergency transport when required
• Keep accurate data records in the School Management System and inform the Transport Officer of safeguarding issues
• Ensure staff and parent satisfaction and communicate with them where applicable
• Follow the cleaning duty rota and keep all areas of the school spotlessly clean
• Take reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant field
• Experience in school operations or cleaning duties
• Friendly, approachable and professional demeanor
• First aid experience and training
• All post holders are subject to vetting, including an online due diligence search, references and criminal background checks covering the previous 10 years of employment

• Safeguarding awareness and adherence to school policies and procedures
