Business Development Manager

About the role

azakaw is a RegTech compliance platform seeking a Business Development Manager to lead its commercial expansion across GCC, Africa, South America, Europe and beyond. You will own the full sales cycle, from cold outreach to contract close, targeting startups, fintechs, mid‑market and enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage a self‑sustaining pipeline with at least 3× quota coverage, focusing on outbound prospecting.
• Conduct insight‑driven demos tailored to each prospect’s regulatory environment and build business cases using ROI modelling.
• Maintain a demo‑to‑proposal conversion rate of 60% or higher and achieve quarterly revenue targets within a 60‑90 day sales cycle.
• Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within 90 days of initial close and ensure clean handoffs to delivery teams.
• Provide market intelligence on regulatory shifts, competitor moves and pricing trends to inform prospecting triggers and product feedback.

Required profile

• Proven full‑cycle SaaS sales experience in regulated industries, with a hunter mentality and ability to manage multi‑stakeholder buying committees.
• Demonstrated ability to sell insight‑led solutions rather than transactional features.
• Strong commercial integrity, focusing on value‑based deals and maintaining or growing average deal size.
