Business Development Manager – Merchant Operations

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Merchant Operations will support the Business Development function by driving merchant‑related operational improvements and act as a bridge between merchants and internal teams such as Product, Delivery Operations, Marketing and Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Support Business Development by driving merchant‑related operational improvement initiatives.
• Act as a bridge between Business Development, merchants and internal teams such as Product, Delivery Operations, Marketing and Finance.
• Collect merchant feedback, identify pain points and translate them into clear action items for internal teams.
• Coordinate with Product on enhancements, system optimisation and feature requests.
• Work with Delivery Operations to resolve issues affecting order flow and service performance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor merchant performance and key business metrics.
• Analyse performance data, identify trends and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Support testing, rollout and adoption of new merchant‑facing products and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, E‑commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in merchant operations, product operations, marketplace or business development.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong cross‑functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities with experience in reporting and performance tracking.
• Proven ability to identify business issues, structure requirements and drive execution.
