Business Development Manager – Middle East, SCADA & Midstream Pipeline

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Middle East to drive growth of its HMI/SCADA portfolio within the Midstream Pipeline segment. You will work closely with regional sales teams to identify, qualify and close new opportunities across SCADA, gas measurement, liquids pipeline operations and pipeline simulation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Accelerate revenue growth for SCADA, gas measurement, liquids pipeline and simulation solutions.
• Provide pipeline domain expertise to support sales in prospecting, qualifying and closing deals.
• Position AVEVA as a strategic partner for pipeline optimisation and digital transformation.
• Manage new‑business pipeline in Salesforce and contribute to deal progression and win rates.
• Drive strategic account penetration within pipeline operators.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of gas transmission/distribution and liquids/crude/refined product pipelines.
• Experience with compressor and pump station operations and interaction with control rooms, field and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, gas measurement (custody transfer, metering, regulatory compliance) and liquids pipeline operations (batch tracking, scheduling, inventory management).
• Understanding of pipeline simulation, real‑time transient models, leak detection, digital twins and optimisation.
• Strong communication and executive engagement skills with a solution‑selling mindset.
