About the role
The Business Development Officer will identify new business opportunities, create sales and marketing strategies, retain existing merchants and drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and merchant acquisition across the UAE market.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the payments and banking sector.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to acquire and retain merchants.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing merchants.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and merchant acquisition initiatives.
Required profile
- Graduate/Diploma preferred but not essential.
- 3‑5 years of experience in merchant acquiring or banking.
- Strong knowledge of UAE banking regulations, compliance and payment products (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, CUP).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, marketing and sales abilities.
- Good understanding of the UAE market and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
