About the role

The Modern American International Private School (MAIS) in Sharjah is seeking a dedicated Business & Economics Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to middle and high school learners. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the school’s mission to develop independent, globally‑mindful students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess Business and Economics lessons aligned with the American curriculum and school standards.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that fosters inquiry, critical thinking, and ethical decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in school events.
• Engage with families to support student progress and success.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Education or a related field; teaching certification or equivalent qualification required.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Business and/or Economics within an American or international curriculum setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working in a multicultural environment.
• Commitment to inclusive, gender‑neutral, non‑discriminatory teaching practices aligned with the school’s values.
