Butchery Commis (Level 3)

About the role

We are looking for a Level 3 Butchery Commis to join our kitchen team at the Westin in Dubai. The role involves preparing ingredients, cooking and ensuring food quality in line with our standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, chop, wash, peel and store fruits, vegetables and meats.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and test doneness.
• Prepare cold dishes and assemble plated meals.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, tools and equipment.
• Monitor and record appliance and food temperatures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen or butchery experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 lb throughout the shift.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients accurately.
• Preparing cold foods and portioning ingredients.
• Testing food doneness and checking temperature compliance.
