About the role

We are seeking a C++ Software Systems Engineer to join a leading technology client on a full‑time remote basis. You will develop, maintain, and extend high‑performance, secure system software that powers AI‑driven engineering pipelines.

Key responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize C/C++ system components for reliability and scalability.
Integrate open‑source projects such as OpenSSL, FFmpeg, glibc, systemd, and tcpdump into the backend stack.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build system‑level libraries and tools.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert support.
Participate in code reviews and uphold industry‑standard best practices.

Required profile

Strong proficiency in C/C++ with solid computer‑science fundamentals.
Experience integrating and extending open‑source projects.
Deep understanding of system‑level programming, OS internals, networking, and storage.
Familiarity with DevOps tooling, containerisation, and automation.
