Cabin Workshop Approved Controller

About the role

The Cabin Workshop Approved Controller oversees the maintenance, repair, modification and overhaul of aircraft cabin components and galley equipment for Emirates. This senior position ensures workshop capabilities align with fleet growth and that all work complies with vendor manuals and Emirates procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and contribute to business cases for workshop expansion to support fleet growth.
• Attend required training modules to enhance technical knowledge.
• Maintain effective communication with Licensed Aircraft Engineers to ensure smooth information flow.
• Plan and control daily workload, meeting production targets and turnaround times.
• Release and certify component tasks, ensuring repairs follow vendor manuals and Emirates standards.
• Control quality and safety, guaranteeing calibrated equipment and tools meet required standards.
• Coach junior staff and coordinate training needs with the Workshop Manager.
• Liaise with development, stores and engineering technical services on equipment and spares issues.
• Conduct daily safety and workshop audits to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Aeronautical, Avionics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a Maintenance Engineering Licence with workshop approval and at least 2 years of component release experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering or aircraft component maintenance.
• At least 4 workshop authorisations or an Airframe License issued by the GCAA.
• Completion of required vendor training.
