CAD Designer (Freelance)

About the role

LINKVIVA, an event production company founded in 2003, is looking for a freelance Mid-Level CAD Technical Designer based in Dubai. The designer develops detailed AutoCAD layouts, elevations and floor plans for events such as stages, exhibition spaces and infrastructure, working with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD layouts, elevations and floor plans for event venues
• Design 2D floor plans and 3D wireframe layouts
• Help establish, implement and enforce AutoCAD standards and file organisation
• Support production and process troubleshooting
• Contribute to moving projects from design to production release on time and accurately
• Maintain AutoCAD files in response to engineering changes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with AutoCAD
• Proven experience creating technical drawings and 3D models with AutoCAD
• Basic knowledge of fabrication; events-related experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented, organised, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate; flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays
