CAD Technician – Infrastructure & Utilities

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join its team on a high‑profile roads and infrastructure project in Dubai. You will be responsible for producing and maintaining detailed CAD drawings for a range of civil works, ensuring they meet project and local authority standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and maintain detailed CAD drawings for roads, utilities, tunnels, bridges and related infrastructure.
• Incorporate design changes, site modifications and approved technical information into drawings.
• Assist engineering teams in reviewing contractor shop drawings, as‑built drawings, utility layouts, profiles and cross‑sections.
• Coordinate drawings across civil, structural, utility and other disciplines to identify discrepancies and potential clashes.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, Dubai RTA standards and internal CAD standards.
• Support preparation and verification of as‑built drawings based on approved site information and survey data.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, numbering, layering and document control requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, surveyors, BIM/CAD teams and other project disciplines.

Required profile

• 3‑year diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, drafting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant CAD drafting experience on major roads and infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience on Dubai projects is mandatory; RTA approval or acceptance is highly preferred.
• Proven experience with roads, utilities, tunnels, bridges, interchanges and associated infrastructure works.

Required skills

• Extensive experience using AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with BIM‑related workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai RTA standards, specifications and drawing requirements.
