Cadet Technician Programme (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, runs a two-year training and development programme for UAE nationals to launch a career in aircraft maintenance and progress toward becoming a Licensed Aircraft Technician. It combines theoretical study with on-the-job training across a range of aircraft types.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the GCAA-approved training syllabus and programme requirements.
• Maintain an overall 75% pass rate on module exams within the set times.
• Follow performance requirements set by the GCAA, the training institute and the company.
• Finish on-the-job training within the assigned timeline after passing theory.
• Complete the schedule of work (logbook) with assigned tasks.
• Attend and pass mandatory training and technical staff competency assessments.
• Perform all work safely, in line with company procedures, health and safety rules and GCAA regulations.
• Stay updated on regulation amendments, company procedures and maintenance best practices, and take responsibility for your own work once completed.

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid family book.
• Aged 18 to 29.
• High school certificate or equivalent, including Maths/Physics/Science with a 60% overall score.
• Strong command of English.
• Completed or permanently exempted from UAE National Service (males only).
• Willing to work shifts including nights, outdoors, and to wear the company tech uniform.
