Cafe Customer Service Associate – Retail (M&S Cafe)

About the role

The Cafe Customer Service Associate will deliver aspirational hospitality and maintain fresh‑counter standards for customers and colleagues in an M&S Cafe environment in the UAE. You will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere while supporting sales and product presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain hospitality and fresh‑counter standards throughout the trading day.
• Use the Ready to Trade and product‑specification checklists to set and uphold opening standards.
• Display products according to visual standards and keep them replenished.
• Apply ‘Clean As You Go’ principles to counters, kits, and seating areas.
• Log equipment failures and record waste or tasting quality in the store stock system.
• Prepare products with focus on presentation, quality, and efficiency following SOPs.
• Promote deals, up‑sell, and suggest complementary items to drive sales.
• Assist customers with cake orders, take‑away service, menu orders, and Call‑and‑Collect (Ramadan only).
• Provide product tastings to educate customers and increase awareness.
• Check stock reports, replenish shelves, and ensure accurate stock recording.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on hospitality.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Attention to detail for product presentation and hygiene standards.
• Basic numeracy to handle stock reports and sales targets.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
