Captain / Barista - Bonbon Café

About the role

The Lana - Dorchester Collection is hiring through its partner Hosco in Dubai for a Captain / Barista position at Bonbon Café, a F&B outlet. The Captain is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the outlet so that guests receive the best possible experience, and is supported by an award-winning learning academy.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests assigned to your area, present the menu and recommend and upsell menu items to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Keep the outlet in immaculate condition and make sure the supporting team meets all service standards.
• Train and mentor the team of waiters so they can serve guests to the highest standard.
• Be aware of revenue targets and help achieve them while keeping costs within pre-set budgets, including beverage cost.
• Take part in a daily pre-service team briefing to stay informed about hotel events and upcoming services.
• Liaise with other departments to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of furniture, equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings.
• Work with the hostesses to optimise restaurant reservations for productivity, guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Collaborate with the service team on beverage preparation, presentation and beverage inventory control.
