Cardiovascular Technician

About the role

A client of Black Pearl Consult in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is looking for a Cardiovascular Technician. The role is based within one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, known for world-class medical services and state-of-the-art facilities. The technician performs diagnostic cardiovascular procedures, operates specialized equipment and assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Experience with pediatric patients is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive and/or invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician, including procedures for pediatric patients.
• Operate and maintain specialized cardiovascular equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, taking medical history and positioning them correctly.
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during procedures and respond promptly to complications.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures when required.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and test reports.
• Follow infection control, safety and quality assurance protocols.
• Keep up to date with cardiovascular technology and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent.
• Valid healthcare professional license or registration in the UAE, or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinical setting, including pediatric cases.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and diagnostic procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
