Cards Reconciliations Manager

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is looking for a Cards Reconciliations Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role executes the section's operational activities, manages risk effectively and delivers service to internal clients according to agreed SLAs, while keeping service quick and uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the reconciliation section, including authorising manually matched items with value-date differences and submitting reports to the MIS team
• Submit dashboard reporting across iTRACs case books and intelliMATCH accounts, verify monthly reconciliation reports and archive records
• Track daily issues and operational risk through tick lists, account lists and traffic-light reporting; control unapplied credits, unpresented and unclaimed accounts
• Review exception management interfaces, define BAU and non-BAU periods with internal clients, and manage escalations to high-level management
• Provide project management support for automation projects and coordinate with ITD on system administrative changes
• Supervise the team, guide and train juniors, share knowledge and promote the bank's values and ethics
• Implement policies, systems and procedures, contribute to continuous improvement and assist in preparing statements and reports
• Identify and report operational risks, highlight high-risk transactions, update Operations Risk on non-reconciling items and escalate risk-related issues to the AVP
• Maintain the account list and SLAs, keep accounts balanced and work with subordinates to resolve outstanding items

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Economics, Commerce and Finance or a related discipline
• 4-8 years of relevant experience in the banking sector, including at least 5 years in similar positions with progressively greater managerial responsibility in the Core Processing function
