Cargo Control Officer

About the role

The Cargo Control Officer ensures optimal utilisation of cargo capacity on passenger flights by analysing bookings, baggage trends, weather and aircraft allocation. Working within SkyCargo’s hub in Dubai, you will support the reservations and sales teams with accurate capacity data.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate available cargo weight, volume and ULD capacity for each passenger flight using passenger bookings, baggage trends, weather forecasts and aircraft schedules.
• Adjust capacity figures in SkyCargo systems to reflect real‑time availability for the sales network.
• Evaluate bookings against KPI targets, revenue retention goals and operational constraints, proposing alternative routing or secondary options when needed.
• Compile and verify data on booking non‑compliances, traffic flow and allotment utilisation, and forward reports to the Cargo Revenue Optimization Manager.
• Apply capacity‑management and revenue‑optimization techniques at the flight level, determining product mix, yield and pre‑bookings.
• Monitor daily station allocation usage, identify under‑utilised allotments and coordinate corrective actions.
• Recommend optimal routing or gateway for shipments, considering trucking costs, frequency and interline capacity.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for negotiating with origin stations and internal teams.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple flight allocations simultaneously.
