Carpenter – Hotel Facilities Maintenance

About the role

The Carpenter will support the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah hotel by delivering high‑quality carpentry work across the property. This includes constructing, installing, repairing and maintaining furniture, fixtures and structural elements to ensure a safe and attractive environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks such as construction, installation, repair and maintenance of furniture, doors, windows, partitions and other wood‑based structures.
• Inspect woodworks, assess repair needs and execute timely maintenance or replacement.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to prioritize tasks and keep hotel facilities operating smoothly.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies and materials; order new items within budget.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to meet project specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood and wood‑substitute materials, delivering custom design solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.

Required profile

• Proven experience and expertise in carpentry, including installation and construction methods.
• Proficiency with electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
