Chemist

About the role

Ecolab is looking for a Chemist to perform technical laboratory activities that support the development of new technical platforms and product applications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analyses and experiments on organic and inorganic substances to evaluate their applications.
• Design and execute experiments to improve or duplicate materials and substances.
• Research and develop new processing or production methods and explore potential new uses for technical platforms.
• Collect data, perform technical analysis, and summarize findings in written reports and project checkpoints.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebook records and file experimental reports.
• Develop innovative applications of existing or new products, processes, or systems and protect proprietary innovations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (biology or biochemistry not preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience, preferably in the chemical blending industry or third‑party laboratories.
• Experience working under GMP conditions is preferred.
• Strong ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and contribute to multi‑function project teams.

Required skills

• Operating knowledge of analytical laboratory instrumentation.
• Expertise in physical, spectrophotometric, quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Knowledge of chromatographic analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments.
• Ability to develop and select appropriate test methods and procedures.
