Chemistry Technologist

About the role

The Chemistry Technologist will implement and manage all chemistry technical programs, processes and procedures to ensure the highest quality of primary and secondary cycle chemistry in a nuclear plant. This role supports water treatment operations, chemical management and data analysis to protect fuel integrity and steam generator performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the water treatment facility and associated maintenance services.
• Support Cold Hydrostatic Test, Hot Functional Test and Power Ascension Test programs.
• Manage primary, secondary and auxiliary system water quality and chemical treatment.
• Oversee lube oil, fuel oil analysis and related instrumentation.
• Handle hazardous and toxic materials, acid cleaning, and demineralizer operations.
• Run condensate polishing plant and chemical injection facilities.
• Administer the Advanced Secondary Chemical Management System (ASCMS) and integrated sampling systems.
• Collect, analyze, log and trend data for water treatment, fuel oils and system performance.
• Prepare performance metrics and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Contribute to the development of UAE national employees and share knowledge to build internal capabilities.

Required profile

• Commitment to continuous improvement, waste elimination and adherence to the Quality Management System.
• Ability to follow operational procedures, innovate, solve problems and work as part of a team.
• Support for the Nawah Fundamentals and Emiratization strategy.
• Experience in managing chemistry programs within a nuclear or industrial plant environment.
