Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant supports and oversees daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and compliance with company policies. The role involves managing reconciliations, month‑end and year‑end closings, financial reporting, and partnering with department leaders for effective financial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting projects and SOP audits across the property.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, balance‑sheet reviews, and month‑end/year‑end closing activities.
• Monitor internal controls, tax compliance, and ensure accurate documentation of profits and losses.
• Assist with budget preparation, audits, cash‑flow reporting, and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or related field (no experience required) OR a 2‑year degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze information, solve problems, and maintain strong accounting controls.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computers and financial spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures such as write‑offs, consolidated deposits, and gross revenue reporting.
