Chief Data Officer (CDO) – Lead Data Strategy

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Data Officer to shape and execute our enterprise data strategy, driving data‑enabled transformation across the organization. In this senior executive position you will oversee data governance, architecture, analytics, AI initiatives and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enterprise‑wide data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead data governance, architecture, quality, analytics, business intelligence and overall data management functions.
• Define data policies, standards, ownership frameworks and governance processes.
• Drive the creation of data platforms, warehouses, lakes and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Champion data‑driven transformation, supporting AI, machine‑learning and advanced analytics projects.
• Ensure data privacy, security, integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Establish data‑quality frameworks, KPIs and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and capture business value from data.
• Manage data‑related budgets, technology investments, vendor relationships and strategic partnerships.
• Build, mentor and lead high‑performing data and analytics teams.
• Present data strategy, performance metrics, risks and recommendations to executives and the Board.

Required profile

• Proven executive leadership experience in data management, analytics, technology or digital transformation.
• Strong expertise in enterprise data strategy, governance, architecture, analytics and AI.
• Excellent strategic thinking, commercial awareness and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management and team‑leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of data security, privacy, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Track record of transforming complex data environments into scalable solutions.
• Ability to translate data and technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
• Innovative, ethical and results‑driven mindset.
