Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

A visionary, entrepreneurial and results-driven CEO is sought to set the company's strategic direction, drive business growth and build a sustainable, scalable organisation. The CEO works closely with founders, investors, leadership teams and key stakeholders to define the vision, strengthen market positioning and turn ideas into measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's vision, mission, strategy and long-term objectives, setting goals, KPIs and performance standards
• Pursue new markets and revenue streams, develop business models and build partnerships with investors, clients and industry leaders
• Drive revenue, profitability and financial sustainability, overseeing budgets, forecasts, cash flow and fundraising where applicable
• Oversee day-to-day operations, build scalable systems and processes, and foster cross-functional collaboration
• Recruit, develop and retain leadership teams, and lead succession and leadership development
• Represent the company in negotiations and stakeholder meetings, and communicate performance and growth plans
• Evaluate new technologies, encourage innovation, and manage business, financial, operational and reputational risks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Management, Finance, Economics or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is an advantage
• 8-15+ years of progressive experience, with substantial leadership or business management responsibilities
• Demonstrated experience in business growth, strategic planning, operations or organisational leadership
• Proven ability to build teams, manage resources and execute business strategies
• Entrepreneurial experience, startup leadership or experience scaling a business is a significant advantage
