Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

A fast-growing investment management firm covering private equity and venture capital portfolios is seeking a CTO in Dubai. The business is modernising its technology stack, strengthening governance and building a scalable foundation for fund expansion and cross-border operations. The CTO takes full ownership of technology across software engineering, cybersecurity, TechOps and enterprise systems, in a hands-on leadership role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams across software engineering, cybersecurity, TechOps and enterprise systems
• Own technology strategy, architecture and long-term roadmap aligned to investment management operations
• Oversee the rollout, integration and optimisation of Workday ERP
• Drive engineering best practices, delivery standards and platform reliability
• Strengthen cybersecurity, governance and risk management against regional and global regulations
• Build scalable cloud infrastructure supporting trading, analytics and portfolio management systems
• Implement incident management, disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks
• Introduce automation and DevOps practices, manage vendors, budgets and partnerships

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technology organisations in investment management, financial services or regulated industries
• Background overseeing software engineering, cybersecurity, TechOps and enterprise systems
• Hands-on leadership experience with ERP platforms, ideally Workday
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through growth and transformation
• Strong stakeholder management and track record in fast-paced, high-governance environments
