Chief Technology Officer

About the role

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Changer.ae will shape and execute the technology vision for a regulated digital‑asset custodian. Based on‑site in Abu Dhabi, the CTO leads engineering, ensures platform security, scalability and compliance, and partners with product, operations and compliance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and ADGM regulations.
• Oversee software development, system architecture and infrastructure to deliver a secure, high‑performance custody platform.
• Drive cross‑functional projects with product, operations and compliance, ensuring timely delivery.
• Mentor engineering leaders, establish best practices for development, testing and deployment.
• Lead innovation in blockchain integration, cybersecurity, encryption and user experience.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on risk management, regulatory compliance and overall business strategy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in software development and architecture for financial or fintech platforms.
• Proven track record in IT strategy, technology governance and leading large technical teams.
• Strong background in project and product development within regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain, crypto‑asset custody, cybersecurity and encryption standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
