Civil Engineer – UAE Nationals (Contract)

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its infrastructure team in Dubai on a contract basis. The role focuses on the design and delivery of dry utilities, power substations, telecommunication networks, and street lighting for large‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Dubai, Abu Dhabi and KSA authority guidelines, standards and requirements.
• Develop design solutions for dry utilities and infrastructure from concept master‑plan through to IFC stage.
• Design primary, distribution and pocket substations, HV/EHV/LV corridors and related electrical networks up to 33 kV.
• Perform electrical calculations, prepare reports and generate technical documentation.
• Design telecommunication infrastructure including ducts, manholes and assess GSM tower coverage.
• Create street‑lighting layouts, perform lighting calculations, produce single‑line diagrams and load schedules.
• Coordinate design activities with wet‑works, road, transportation, landscape and building disciplines.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong background in infrastructure engineering with proven experience on utility and power projects.
• Familiarity with regional authority regulations and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
