Civil Inspector – NDRC & Micro‑tunneling

About the role

The Civil Inspector will supervise and inspect stormwater drainage and micro‑tunneling works, ensuring all activities follow approved drawings, specifications and project standards while complying with quality, safety and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of excavation, shoring, backfilling, micro‑tunneling drives, shaft construction, reinforcement, concrete pouring and waterproofing.
• Verify alignment, gradients and levels of pipelines, chambers and manholes against design criteria.
• Monitor contractor compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA and other UAE authority standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, record manpower, equipment and material deliveries, and support testing, commissioning and handover of stormwater networks.
• Assist Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions, reviewing RFIs, method statements and variance requests.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supervising NDRC, sewerage, drainage and micro‑tunneling projects.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality, RTA and DEWA specifications.
