Civil Project Engineer

About the role

Royal International Construction, part of the United Al Saqer Group, is hiring a Civil Project Engineer in Dubai. The engineer plans, manages and executes civil construction projects, making sure they finish on time, within budget and in line with design specifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves working with contractors, consultants and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules, work plans and resource allocations with project managers, and coordinate with design consultants, contractors and internal teams
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents
• Supervise day-to-day site work, monitor progress, flag delays and propose corrective actions
• Ensure materials, equipment and labour are used properly, and enforce safety regulations, labour laws and company policies
• Inspect work against design and quality standards and coordinate material and civil works testing
• Maintain project records, daily reports, progress updates and issue logs, and prepare periodic reports on status, cost and schedule
• Support internal and external audits, and provide engineering support to solve technical problems
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings, and recommend value engineering solutions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil construction projects
• Minimum 6-10 years of experience in civil construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management and quality control
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, commercial or residential projects is preferred
