Civil Structural Specialist – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Wood is seeking a Civil Structural Specialist to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role provides technical expertise in civil and structural design, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and relevant codes while supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor civil and structural engineering design with EPC contractors.
• Perform technical reviews of deliverables from consultants and contractors to ensure quality and code compliance.
• Integrate civil and structural engineering activities within the IPMT and across disciplines.
• Participate in design option analysis, equipment sizing, and layout reviews.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader and Engineering Manager, supporting project managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil and structural engineering within large‑scale projects.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and international design codes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Strong analytical skills for design optimisation and technical problem solving.
