Classroom Assistant – UAE National (Immediate Start)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a UAE National Classroom Assistant for Pearl British Academy in Abu Dhabi. The role starts immediately and supports pupils from Nursery to Year 6 in a diverse, English‑medium international school following the National Curriculum of England.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to enable pupils to fully participate in classroom and extracurricular activities.
• Assist with child protection, health and safety matters, and ensure compliance with school policies.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of individual education programmes.
• Help pupils with emotional, behavioural or additional learning needs develop social skills.
• Maintain pupil records, prepare displays of work, and assist teachers with photocopying and other classroom tasks.
• Deliver behaviour management, give group or individual instruction, and monitor pupil progress during lessons.
• Collaborate with specialists such as speech and occupational therapists.
• Attend staff meetings and undertake other duties as directed by the principal.

Required profile

• UAE National with the right to work in the United Arab Emirates.
• Immediate availability and willingness to work full‑time onsite.
• At least one month of relevant experience in a school setting.
• Strong commitment to child protection, health and safety, and the school’s values.
