Clinical Educator

About the role

The Clinical Educator will design, deliver and evaluate learning programmes for nursing units, ensuring staff competence aligns with the hospital’s mission and Joint Commission International Accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate unit orientation and ongoing development programmes.
• Conduct formal and informal teaching sessions, bedside teaching and mentorship.
• Develop and manage competency‑based assessment programmes and maintain a computerized database of staff education.
• Provide regular updates to the Nursing Department Manager and participate in quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and registration as a RN in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience and two years of clinical teaching experience.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a current licence to practice.
• Knowledge of JCIA standards and infection control, pain management and wound‑care practices.
