Clinical Pharmacist

About the role

A recruitment consultancy is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to join its client's team in Abu Dhabi. The client is one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, known for world-class patient care and state-of-the-art medical facilities. The pharmacist provides expert medication management, works with physicians and healthcare teams, and ensures safe and effective use of medications.

Key responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and manage patient medication therapy together with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Give clinical advice on drug selection, dosage, interactions and side effects.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medication use, storage and safety.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, policies and national healthcare regulations.
• Take part in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to clinical decisions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of pharmaceutical care.
• Stay up to date on pharmaceutical research, new drugs and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Valid UAE pharmacy license or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience; pediatric patient exposure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics and clinical guidelines.
• Excellent communication, counseling and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
