Cloud Professional Services Manager

About the role

Canonical is looking for a Cloud Professional Services Manager to lead its Field Engineering team in the United Arab Emirates. You will guide customers through the design, implementation, and hand‑over of open‑source cloud solutions across public clouds and on‑premise data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a Professional Services team that delivers Ubuntu‑based cloud solutions, including OpenStack, MicroCloud, Ceph, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark and PostgreSQL.
• Work directly with customers to understand workloads, design private and public cloud architectures, and oversee deployment and testing.
• Provide technical presales support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Shape team direction, focus, and delivery standards while mentoring engineers into future managers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering groups to expand Canonical’s open‑source portfolio for industries such as telco, finance, health‑care and media.

Required profile

• Seasoned engineer with strong hands‑on experience in cloud technologies and open‑source solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers and drive project outcomes.
• Comfortable engaging in technical presales conversations and solving customer‑facing problems.
• Motivated to champion open‑source adoption and contribute to product evolution.
