CNC or Lathe Machine Operator

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking a skilled CNC or Lathe Machine Operator to join its manufacturing team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will operate manual or CNC turning lathes to produce precision metal or plastic components according to engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate manual or CNC turning lathes for turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, grooving and chamfering operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances and machining parameters.
• Inspect finished workpieces with vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Select, mount, align and maintain cutting tools, monitoring tool condition and performing replacements or sharpening as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning, basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machines while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools, speeds, feeds and material properties.
• Ability to calculate dimensions, clearances and tolerances accurately.
• Good understanding of blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
