CNG Maintenance Technician

About the role

The CNG Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of all CNG and hydrogen refuelling equipment at our stations. The role involves performing preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and adhering to strict HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute corrective and emergency repairs on electromechanical components such as CNG compressors, electric motors, switchgear, MCC rooms, PLC and power panels, and trailer‑mounted gas systems.
• Respond to end‑user complaints, visit sites, diagnose issues and carry out required maintenance promptly.
• Monitor and inspect work performed by third‑party contractors, verify compliance with standards, and produce written reports for the CNG Maintenance Supervisor.
• Review preventive maintenance reports for chillers and other assets, recommend replacements, and ensure continuous quality service.
• Procure small urgent maintenance items using petty cash and manage SAP‑logged maintenance requests.
• Conduct routine predictive‑maintenance tests and ensure all safety procedures are followed in hazardous areas.
• Maintain accurate filing of completed preventive‑maintenance documentation.

Required profile

• Ability to inspect, identify and carry out preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency repairs on CNG and hydrogen refuelling facilities.
• Strong adherence to HSE standards and safety instructions in hazardous environments.
• Experience coordinating with maintenance contractors and reporting to supervisors.
• Proficiency in using SAP for maintenance request handling.
