Coal/Ash Field Operator

About the role

The Coal/Ash Field Operator will manage day‑to‑day field operations at the Hassyan Plant, ensuring safe and efficient handling of coal, ash and jetty systems. Working closely with the control room, the operator monitors equipment, performs manual interventions and supports maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate local valves, pumps and equipment for coal and ash handling systems.
• Monitor and record parameters such as levels, pressure, temperature, bearing condition and lube oil quality.
• Isolate equipment mechanically and electrically for safe maintenance work.
• Report leaks, abnormal sounds, vibrations, heat and any unsafe conditions to the control room.
• Maintain daily checklists, logbooks and area log sheets, adhering to SOPs and PTW procedures.
• Provide first‑line fire response and support emergency actions.
• Ensure plant housekeeping, cleanliness and compliance with health, safety, security and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in Engineering.
• 1‑3 years of experience in coal field operations within power or water‑desalination plants.
• UAE national (family book) preferred.
