Collections Manager

About the role

The Collections Manager will lead the end‑to‑end collections process across multiple business verticals, ensuring timely recovery of receivables from property portfolios, leasing contracts and service agreements. The role balances strong client relationships with rigorous financial risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the collections function for leasing, property management and facility services.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement strategies to secure timely payments.
• Coordinate with leasing, finance and legal teams to address delinquent accounts and resolve disputes.
• Develop and enforce credit control policies, procedures and collection workflows.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with tenants, clients and corporate customers.
• Oversee reconciliation of customer accounts and ensure billing accuracy within ERP systems.
• Prepare collection forecasts, reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, local regulations and company policies.
• Initiate escalation procedures, including legal actions, for long‑outstanding receivables.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency.
• Lead, mentor and develop the collections team to meet KPIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve payment behavior and reduce overdue cycles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in collections or credit control, preferably within real estate, property management or facility management.
• Strong knowledge of receivables management, lease agreements and service contracts.
• Proven ability to manage large portfolios and high‑value accounts.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
