Commercial Director

About the role

Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to relocate to Dubai and drive the commercial agenda across multiple channels and markets. This senior position will shape strategy, grow revenue and reinforce market leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Lead high‑performing sales and commercial teams to achieve revenue, market share and profitability targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with key customers, distributors, retailers and strategic partners.
• Negotiate major commercial agreements and long‑term partnerships.
• Identify new business opportunities, routes to market and growth channels.
• Oversee pricing, trade investment, promotional planning and margin management.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations and Product teams.
• Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitive activity to inform decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and annual business planning.
• Establish performance metrics and promote a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience (Commercial Director, Sales Director, Business Director or General Manager) in FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing, food & beverage or related sectors.
• Track record of delivering significant revenue growth and commercial transformation.
• Strong background in managing key accounts, distributors and multi‑channel sales environments.
• Deep understanding of commercial strategy, pricing, profitability and P&L management.
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker capable of translating plans into measurable outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or related field; MBA advantageous.
