Commercial Director

About the role

The Cove Rotana Resort is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead its integrated commercial agenda. This senior position will shape the resort’s growth strategy across sales, marketing, revenue management, distribution, reservations and loyalty, driving profitable revenue and market‑share expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the resort’s positioning and business plan.
• Drive revenue and market‑share growth across leisure, family, staycation, wholesale, corporate, MICE, groups and weddings.
• Strengthen presence in UAE, GCC and international source markets and identify new growth opportunities.
• Optimize business mix by balancing occupancy, rates, channel contribution, acquisition cost and profitability.
• Lead strategic relationships with key accounts, DMCs, tour operators, wholesalers, travel agencies and corporate clients.
• Increase direct and digital bookings while optimizing OTA and wholesale distribution channels.
• Partner with Revenue Management to maximize pricing, yield and inventory.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create campaigns that translate the resort’s beachfront, villa and experiential proposition into demand.
• Maximize ancillary revenue from F&B, spa, activities, events and other resort experiences.
• Leverage Rotana’s loyalty ecosystem and CRM to boost guest engagement, retention and repeat business.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in commercial functions within large‑scale leisure or resort hotels.
• Strong market knowledge of UAE, GCC and international tourism sources.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement integrated commercial strategies that deliver measurable results.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with key commercial partners.
