Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

The Commercial Finance Manager supports the commercial function by preparing budgets and rolling forecasts, providing financial insight to Sales and Marketing, and partnering with sales counterparts across Consumer Goods, Shop-in-Shop, Food Service, Retail and E-com channels. The role also covers customer P&L and promotions, monthly closing, and continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the Commercial section budget and rolling forecast, and monitor financial performance against budget
• Implement departmental policies, processes and procedures and monitor adherence
• Evaluate Customer P&L and promotions, and prepare and analyse value chains for NPD/EPD or promotions
• Analyse sales, margins, volume, price and mix versus budget, forecast and prior year, and recommend actions
• Aid modelling and scenario testing for new products and business opportunities
• Support monthly financial closing and prepare reports and variance analysis for decision making
• Work with Trade Marketing on ROI analysis of promotions (pre-approval and post-analysis)
• Bridge Demand Planning and Sales on forecast accuracy, and help streamline sales forecasting, reporting and communications
• Support implementation of price increases, ensure prices are applied in the system, and analyse margin impacts including WAC fluctuations
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction and productivity gains
• Monitor health, safety and environmental compliance

Required profile

• At least 5-6 years of experience, built up in blue-chip companies in food processing, manufacturing or FMCG/Retail
• Minimum 2-3 years in food processing, manufacturing or FMCG
• Experience in emerging markets, especially the Middle East and Asia, with management responsibilities across geographies

Required skills

• Advanced or working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and MS Office
• Experience running and developing ERP and financial IT systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle Fusion)
