Commis 3 – Staff Cafeteria Kitchen

About the role

Luxury Collection is looking for a Commis 3 to join the staff cafeteria kitchen in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will assist in preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Monitor food quality and temperature, test doneness, and ensure proper food safety practices.
• Prepare cold foods and plate meals in correct portions and receptacles.
• Set‑up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report incidents and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Ingredient preparation (portioning, chopping, washing, peeling).
• Operation of kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
• Food safety and temperature monitoring.
• Food plating and portion control.
