Commissioning Manager

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning, start‑up, and hand‑over activities for a major offshore project in Abu Dhabi. The role will be based at the client’s or contractor’s office and is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient transition of facilities from construction completion to operational readiness for ADNOC Offshore Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall commissioning strategy, establishing philosophy, procedures, and plans aligned with ADNOC requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary commissioning team, including discipline leads, vendors, and specialist contractors.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to drive timely system completion and hand‑over.
• Create and maintain Commissioning Execution Plans (CEP) and integrate commissioning schedules with construction milestones.
• Review engineering deliverables to ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated.
• Define system boundaries, sub‑system completion criteria, and turnover sequences.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to keep the program on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, HSE requirements, and international best practices throughout all commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commissioning for large offshore or industrial projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and coordination across multiple project disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, HSE regulations, and international commissioning best practices.
• Ability to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi, either at the client’s or contractor’s office.
