Communications Consultant

About the role

The Technology Innovation Institute’s Marketing and Communications – Shared Services team is looking for a Communications Consultant to support Venture One, the commercialization arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council. The role will drive external communications across earned media, owned channels, stakeholder engagement and events, enhancing the organisation’s reputation with industry partners, investors, clients, government bodies, media and talent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication plans for projects, campaigns, events and partnerships.
• Manage media relations, spokesperson profiling and industry roundtables.
• Create and edit content for press releases, articles, website copy, LinkedIn posts, social media, case studies and marketing collateral.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external agencies and portfolio companies to ensure timely, on‑message deliverables.
• Monitor industry trends, media narratives and public sentiment to identify opportunities and risks.
• Support the social‑media agency with briefs, content reviews and alignment to brand voice.

Required profile

• Excellent English writing, editing and communication skills; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Confident communicator with proven project‑management abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, good judgment and ability to navigate complex approval processes.
• Capacity to translate technical and venture‑building activities into clear, compelling external messages.
