Communications Team Leader

About the role

The Communications Team Leader will supervise and guide a team of technicians responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Dubai Metro communications infrastructure. This permanent position ensures reliable performance of critical systems that support passenger information, safety, and train operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Communications technicians in preventive, corrective, and minor modification tasks across a wide range of systems.
• Supervise installation, servicing, and repair of communications equipment in control centres, signalling rooms, stations, depots, trackside locations and on‑board trains.
• Ensure proper use of tools, technical drawings, schematics, manuals and procedures during maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment performance using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Provide technical support for complex projects, conduct performance reviews, and assist with disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Perform shift and emergency duties, drive work vehicles when required, and prepare technical investigation reports on service‑impacting faults.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a technical maintenance team in a rail or transport environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, environmental and information security standards.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and ensure compliance with integrated management systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capacity to work under pressure during emergencies.
