Community Manager

About the role

Anchor 971 is a private, invitation‑only club for high‑volume ecommerce operators in the UAE. We are looking for a hands‑on Community Manager to own the weekly coffee meet‑ups, monthly networking tables and the overall member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and run the weekly coffee session, ensuring consistency regardless of attendance.
• Plan and execute the monthly “table” event – venue, seating, speaker line‑up and post‑event follow‑up.
• Vet new member applications within 24 hours, deciding who qualifies as an operator versus a tourist.
• Build and maintain a dynamic calendar of workshops, sourcing trips and partner events.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing members, knowing their businesses and challenges.
• Identify, pitch and close sponsorships with payment providers, 3PLs, freight forwarders and SaaS companies.

Required profile

• Proven experience running real‑world events, clubs or community gatherings.
• Deep familiarity with Dubai’s venue landscape and local service providers.
• Comfortable interacting with ecommerce professionals and understanding logistics terms such as 3PL.
• Confident in making tough decisions, including turning down unsuitable applicants.
• Highly organised and proactive, with no need for external supervision.
